August : It’s A Wrap

The three most popular posts this past month include:

Alabama Facing the Severest Drought in the US this Year. In the beginning of August Alabama was taking the brunt of the drought.

The Southeast Drought Boils Over. More drought reports, hot water affects power plants, and a rock out drought video.

Warning: This Site Smells Fishy. The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries) new website goes online with simple facts about sustainability status and nutrition information of fish.

Some other Blog Posts I enjoyed this past month:

Wetlands 2007 Presentation. I think I could apply Eric Eckl’s 24 “words that work” in some of my work presentations.

Speaking of presentations, Merlin Mann’s 43folders had a good how-to guide with presentations, titled “How I made my presentations a little better” Also, check out his presentation he presented at Google.

Although I am not an aquifer expert, I enjoyed reading about the Edwards Aquifer in WaterWired.

And last but not least, <!– –> Stewarding the Land, a Quarter Acre at a Time. was a good summary of the book Noah’s Garden.
