Yesterday Florida’s State Climatologist David Zierden said Fay dumped “absurd amounts of rain.”
So how much rain did Florida get?
This map shows the total accumulated precipitation for the last seven days. WOW! 15″-20″ inches of rain in some areas. Considering that parts of north Florida average an annual rainfall of 60″ for an entire year, means some parts received roughly a third of their yearly rainfall in less than seven days.
